We provide a space for all USC students who identify as first-generation, transfer, undocumented, and/or former foster youth.
First Generation College Students
The First Generation Plus Success Center seeks to provide resources and opportunities to first-generation Trojans to make certain their academic journey is a fruitful one. At USC, a first-generation college student is defined as a student whose parent(s)/legal guardian(s) have not completed a bachelor’s degree. At USC, nearly 20% of the total undergraduate population are first-generation students.
Former Foster Youths
USC’s Trojan Guardian Scholars Program is committed to supporting current and former foster youth exiting the foster care system.
Undocumented Immigrant Students
From scholarships to legal assistance, The First Generation Plus Success Center staff seeks to provide access to resources to undocumented students to make certain every student’s needs are met regardless of income, cultural background, or residency.
