Involvement

We warmly welcome all students to come, learn, and hang out at the First Generation Plus Success Center!  FG+SC operates all of its programs and activities consistent with the University’s Notice of Non-Discrimination.

First Generation College Students

The First Generation Plus Success Center seeks to provide resources and opportunities to first-generation Trojans to make certain their academic journey is a fruitful one. At USC, a first-generation college student is defined as a student whose parent(s)/legal guardian(s) have not completed a bachelor’s degree. At USC, nearly 20% of the total undergraduate population are first-generation students.

Former Foster Youths

The First Generation Plus Success Center is committed to supporting current and former foster youth exiting the foster care system.

Transfer Students

The First Generation Plus Success Center seeks to support transfer students through a variety of programming and resources to help make the transition as smooth as possible.

Undocumented Students

Through programming and legal assistance, The First Generation Plus Success Center staff seeks to provide access to resources to undocumented students to make certain every student is supported regardless of income, cultural background, or residency status.
